Mission Statement and Ethos

Dunfermline Rugby Football Club’s aim is to provide a focal point for rugby in the Dunfermline District, so that every player is given the opportunity to fulfil their potential within a positive, vibrant & safe environment.

Youth Section Structure

A DRFC Youth Steering Group will be established to co-ordinate all aspects of the Youth Section. Age group representatives will be responsible for disseminating this information back to their section.

Representatives on DRFC Youth Steering Group:

  • Steering Group Co-ordinator – Mark Todd
  • Youth Section Administrator – Diane Lake
  • Youth Section Treasurer – Lesley Dickson
  • Mini Section Representative – P7 Manager
    • Where possible the rep should be the P7 Manager. If unable to fill the role then position would be offered to P6 Manager, then P5, etc.
    • Attend DRFC Youth Steering Group meetings.
    • Collect & collate info from Mini Section Coaches, Managers & parents to take to the Steering Group.
    • Discuss topics with other Mini Section Coaches, Managers & parents & aim to find solutions to any issues within Mini Section & feedback this info to Steering Group.
    • Disseminate information from the Steering Group to Mini Section Coaches & Managers
  • Midi Section Representative – Under 16 Manager
    • Where possible the rep should be the U-16 Manager. If unable to fill the role then position would be offered to U-15 Manager, then S2, etc.
    • Attend DRFC Youth Steering Group meetings.
    • Collect & collate info from Midi Section Coaches, Managers & parents to take to the Steering Group.
    • Discuss topics with other Midi Section Coaches, Managers & parents & aim to find solutions to any issues within Midi Section & feedback this info to Steering Group.
    • Disseminate information from the Steering Group to Midi Section Coaches & Managers.
  • Youth (Under 18 / Colts) Representative – Under 18 Manager
    • Where possible the rep should be the U-18 Manager. If unable to fill the role then position would be offered to coaches.
    • Attend DRFC Youth Steering Group meetings.
    • Collect & collate info from Youth Coaches & parents to take to the Steering Group
    • Discuss topics with Youth Coaches & parents & aim to find solutions to any issues within U-18 Section & feedback this info to Steering Group.
    • Disseminate information from the Steering Group to Youth Coaches & parents
  • Parents Representative
    • Actively liase with parents / families to encourage involvement of adults i.e. coaching, social, managerial, etc.
    • Attend DRFC Youth Steering Group meetings to represent parents
  • Other possible positions for DRFC Youth Steering Group could include Social / Fund Raising Rep & Press / Web Site Manager
